Books

Some of Scott's family came to visit last Saturday. His Aunt Lucy, Uncle Richard and cousin Ritchie were in town for a wedding so they stopped over to meet the kids. They brought some books for the boys and one of them was all about tractors. Pretty exciting. Also, a Stuart Little book and puppy book. They loved looking through them and are still requesting to read at least one of them every day.

I love that they love to read. Sometimes I find them sitting in their chair together, just paging through books. Other times they'll bring them over for me to read. Just last night Maddox brought one of his favorite books (one from Aunt Beth) to the couch and wanted to read it to me. It was mostly just him paging through the book a half dozen times, but sometimes he'd stop and tell me what was happening on that page. Pretty cute!

9 months

Ok, so she's 9 months and a week...I'm a little behind. Oh well. I've got better things to do, like play with 3 kids who like to be entertained. Anyways, here's my goofy girl.

Friday

I was glad it was Friday yesterday.

It was decent outside, so the boys played for a bit while Marketa watched. I think she's ready to run around with them. It will happen soon enough, I'm sure.

Then I got to sit and read with my boys for a bit while Scott got dinner ready.

The tackle

We know they like to tackle each other. They're boys...what do you expect?

Now there's a new game before bed.

After they hug and kiss Marketa and tell her 'night, night', Maddox and Beckett lay down on the floor and wait for her to tackle them.

Marketa gets a kick out of it too...she loves her big brothers.

Goodbye mohawks...

...you were fun while you lasted, but it's time for you to go. You don't stand up too well under those warm stocking caps. Maybe we'll see you again next summer.

Snow

Yep, that's right...snow. We woke up to snow this morning. The boys were so excited. Even Monkey wanted to watch.

Scott threw on coats and crocs over their pajamas after breakfast so they could check it out.

I think they'll have fun this winter, playing in the snow.

Randomness

Little knitter

I think I may have a future knitter on my hands.

She sure loves the feel of that yarn.

Or maybe I just have a baby who likes to get into stuff and make a mess.

Who spilled the beans?

The other day we got out some dried beans to dig in. Maddox and Beckett had fun with their tractors and it sure is a lot cleaner than dirt.

Musical kids

We just got this music table back from some friends. Thomas borrowed it for a while, but we thought Marketa would love playing with it.

Well...apparently the boys love it too. Maddox was having some fun the other night.
