Our many celebrations

Once again, we made the rounds this year. We were in CR the weekend before Christmas. Then we were at my mom's Thursday night, we celebrated at home on Christmas Eve, then Christmas morning at dad's. It was fun, but quite busy. We're looking forward to some time at home, settling in a bit before Scott goes back to work next week.
Here are a few pics from last week.

Callum was having fun watching all the commotion. I'm sure he'll be digging in next year.

Callum and Grandpa Denny

Marketa baking her cookies. (Thanks Piper!!)

And, of course, cuddling with daddy.

Silas and Callum getting to know each other. I think they'll be good buds.

Beckett and Scott checking out the light sabers.

Scott and Ed fixing some electrical problems. Don't they look good in their headlamps?!

Maddox watching the trucks closely as they race around the track. (Thanks Olivia and Bella!)

Grandpa Ed apparently draws some great pics of road work machines.

She really loves her daddy!

Marketa trying on Beth's elf hat. I think she'll be getting one in her size as soon as I can find the perfect yarn.

One last pic with Beth before she heads home.
Thanks for coming, Beth! The kids had fun playing and will enjoy skyping with you soon.

For Charlie

Per Uncle Charlie's request, here are a few pics of the basement. We still have a little finishing to do and there's not much furniture right now, but we are loving the space. There is room for running around and playing with new toys. I'm a happy mama!

On one side of the room we have the tv.

On the other side of the room, we have Scott's stereo.
Once he has the speakers set where he wants them (and that won't happen until he gets MANY hours of listening in) then we'll move the tv back to this wall. For now, the chairs will get turned for either tv watching or listening to music. Hopefully we can score a couch sometime.

Here's the view from over by the stereo. I'm ok with not much furniture right now. It's awesome having a practically empty room for the kids to run around in!

Some assembly required

We've officially reached the stage of "assembly required" toys. Now that we have the space for bigger toys, we're receiving them. The kids are loving it!

Thursday night, after the kids went to bed, Scott spent the evening putting some of their stuff together from Grandma Bonnie.

He had to play a little too, after spending all that time putting it together.

Merry Christmas

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14
God with us!!
Merry Christmas!

Last weekend

We went to CR last weekend to visit Scott's family. We had a good time with lots going on.

Lots of cuddling.

Lots of playing with Grandpa Ed.

Lots of presents. And yes, the boys wore those fire hats the rest of the time we were there.

Lots of reading with Grandma Ginny.

Lots of hanging out with Aunt Beth. We were so excited that she flew in from the Czech Republic to visit!

We even got a little sleep in. Not too much, but some.

Stuck

I know I've said it before, but their imaginations really are amazing. I love seeing what games these kids come up with...

In case you didn't catch it, Beckett's truck (aka the couch) was stuck in a hole, or maybe a snowman. I can't remember which one it was at that time. Anyways, Marketa and Maddox came to the rescue and helped him push.

Busy

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. We've been quite busy.
Scott and I have been working on the basement in our free time, during nap time and after kids' bedtime. We'll get carpet tomorrow so I'll have pics next week of the finished product. We're pretty excited to have that space back.
Meanwhile, I've been working on some other projects...

...stuffed animals for the boys.

...a dress for Marketa's baby doll.

...an apron for Scott's mom, as well as some other gifts to be given later this week.

...ornaments for the tree.

Not to mention keeping an eye on these 4 kiddos...

Hopefully I'll have time later this week to post more pics from our (4) different Christmas celebrations.

Oh, Christmas Tree

This year we finally got a real Christmas tree. I grew up getting one every year with my dad. For years now, Scott and I had lived in a townhouse that just didn't have much room for a large tree, so we got by with a small fake one. Now that we have space, it's time for the real deal again. Scott came home with it just before naptime yesterday. He set it up and put the lights on so that when the kids got up, they could help decorate. They loved it!

I love it too!
