Yard work

Finally, a nice day when Scott could get out to mow...his first time mowing in well over 10 years. No, it's not because he's lazy. We've just lived in a townhouse for so long. Now we finally have a yard to take care of and we're loving it. The kids even got out there to "help."

Life is good

...when you have nice weather to get outside and enjoy.

...when you've got bikes (or trikes and scooters) to ride.

...when you have happy boys (who happened to nap that day and the day before!).

...when you have lots of room to ride/run around.

...when you've got 3 awesome kids (and one more on the way).

...when you can see God's blessings everywhere you look.

Cheese Park

This is why we call it Cheese Park...

Most of it has changed over the years, but the cheese is still there.

Now my kids can enjoy the same park in our backyard.

And boy, do they enjoy it!! We've been there almost every day over the past 2 weeks.

Baby Larsen

Ultrasound the other day showed baby Larsen is doing great. Almost 29 weeks now!! He'll be here before we know it.

She's walkin'

Well, she's actually been walking for a week or more now, but I finally got Marketa on video for all to see. She's getting more and more adventurous every day.

Reading

Beckett and Maddox love to read. The love it when we read to them and they love to look at books on their own. Recently I have found them reading to each other. It's so cute to hear them tell the story, or at least talk about what's on the pages.

Happy Birthday, Maddox and Beckett!!

3 years ago today these two boys came into this world. It's been a crazy ride, but fun (most of the time).

This afternoon they got tricycles from Grandma Bonnie.

Can you tell they love having a yard now...they kept running out there to "check out the tree."

Last night we did pizza and cake with some family. Those DeGroote girls love to help when it comes to blowing out candles and opening presents.

Marketa even enjoyed some of the cake.

It's been a busy time with moving and trying to get settled in and the boys turning 3. Hopefully things will settle down a bit before baby #4 comes along. Then we'll have a whole different kind of busyness going on.

Grandpa's house

We spent just over a week at Grandpa's house. After the first night, it wasn't so bad...the kids always seem to have a rough time going to bed the first night in a new place. Besides the lack of naps for the boys and the stress that comes with moving, we had a good time. Maddox and Beckett loved staying up with Grandpa most evenings while we went over to the new place to unpack a bit.
Marketa quickly discovered some of my old Precious Moments dolls. Interesting hair, I know, but she carried that doll around for quite a while.

Thomas came to play while his mom and dad helped paint.

She is becoming more and more sure-footed. At the beginning of the week, she preferred to hold a hand or the wall, but now she's ready to let go and just start walking.

The boys found their "nest" under the kitchen table. This is where they would go off to play sometimes.

This big bear got a lot of love from Marketa. He probably needed it after all the tackles he's gotten from Maddox.

Just chillin' on the couch, looking at some pictures. Marketa loved hanging out on the couch!

My little Iowa State girl. This shirt was passed down from Hudson to the boys. Now Marketa gets to wear it. Maybe I need to get something a little more girly, but I think she look adorable in it, especially with her little hair clip.

We had fun, dad! Thanks for your hospitality and all your help. Now you can have your house back and we'll just stop over for visits. Love you!

27 weeks

Well, I am now at 28 weeks, but since I haven't been on a computer much lately, this is a bit delayed. This is my last belly shot in this spot. We took it the day we closed on our new house. We did a final walk through of our townhouse to make sure we didn't miss anything and to let the kids run around one last time.

We're in!!

After a week at Grandpa Denny's we're finally staying in our new house. We still have lots to do, but it's safe for the kiddos to roam around now and beds and curtains are up in their rooms so they can sleep (hopefully napping will resume as well). We loaded up the wagons with some toys and books and walked over to the house.

While we loved staying with Grandpa Denny and he enjoyed having us, I think everyone is happy to be sleeping in their own beds tonight. Thanks to everyone who helped us. We're looking forward to making this house our home!

Easter Egg Hunt

Yep, we did an Easter egg hunt today. It was a nice afternoon and some of the cousins were gathering at Grandpa Denny's house...the DeGroote girls, Adrienne and the Larsen kids.

Maddox remembered what to do from last year. He was quick to find some eggs and put them in his basket.

Adrienne just had fun running around looking cute.

Beckett got right in there too...he knew what to do.

Marketa wasn't letting go of that egg for anything.

Checking out their loot.

Cousin Eden...what a cutie!!

Marketa found a new friend in cousin Olivia. They had fun tossing that ball back and forth.

A beautiful afternoon to play outside with some cousins!

Watching tv

The boys love to watch tv...
before you judge me, they only watch an hour or so a day and no, they do not have a tv in their room. This is their pretend tv. They love to pretend that they are watching movies on it. I'm ok with that...in fact, watch all the tv you want, boys. Let your imaginations run wild.

Smile

I just love their cheesy grins!

I love when I get a beautiful smile captured, too.
