34 weeks

We were 3 under 2 for a few months, then 3 under 3 for a year, now we're 3 under 4, soon to be 4 under 4. Crazy!! I can't believe this baby will be born in another month or so. We're getting lots done around the house. Mostly, Scott is getting lots done around the house--I try to help with what I can, then he tells me to sit down so I don't put myself into labor too soon. Then I sit and sew or knit so I still keep busy. Hopefully this guy doesn't come too early. I think I'd be fine with a 4th of July baby. That might be fun.

Planting flowers

The other day the kids helped Grandma Bonnie plant some flowers out front. They are such great helpers!

They helped fill in the dirt around the plants.

I think Marketa liked getting her hands dirty.

The next day I kept the boys busy watering flowers again.

Walking the dog

No, we did not get a dog...we don't need any more messes to clean up around here. This dog marionette was a Christmas present from Aunt Beth and it was just recently rediscovered. Marketa is in love with this guy and has fun walking him around the house.

Of course, every dog needs kisses too.

Little Moochers

They love to snack...

and she loves to share...

Beckett conveniently placed himself right next to Marketa while she ate her snack. I think he got more of it than she did. At least he said please and thank you.

Cat in a tree

Maddox and Beckett have been play pretend a lot lately. It's so much fun to listen to them and watch them act stuff out. Here they are getting cats out of the tree (from the book The Fire Cat).
Obviously they needed a boost, so they took turns lifting each other up to reach the cats.

Then they'd fall down, laugh and start all over again. By the end of that game I had a collection of pretend cats in my lap.

Bath time

Bath time is always interesting. It's getting better now that the kids are used to the new house/tub. The fun part is trying to wrangle them into the tub. They love to chase each other around in their diapers...lots of giggling and shrieking.

This new tub is about half the size of our old one, but they still have fun. Think we can fit 4 in there?

Haircuts are in order at some point in the future. The shaggy look is cute sometimes, but crazy and out of control other times. Bath time hair is always interesting.

What we've been up to

We've been busy and having fun...

The boys, counting very quickly as they play hide-n-seek with daddy. They gave up pretty quickly when he wasn't in the spot they had just hidden in so mommy had to jump in and help give suggestions on where to look. They're learning.

Marketa loves to sit in the chair and read to her monkey.

I've been busy sewing--curtains for the boys' room and the dining room. Finished our bedskirt last night and will make a few pillows for our bed...will post those pics later.

Scott...well, he's been busy working and doing endless projects around the house and playing with the kids, giving me a break when he can. Here he is playing at the park before dinner. These pics were taken from our deck (with a little help from the zoom button). I love being able to just step out and call them home for dinner!

Mother's Day

Finally, a few pictures with mom...

They were cutting a tree down the street...obviously more interesting than taking pictures.

Wow! Everyone looking at the camera and smiling. Can't believe it!!

A special moment between big brother and little sister.

And now Beckett tries to get Marketa to obey and look at daddy.

I've been busy...

...checking things out and moving stuff around.

...reading to monkeys.

...chasing boys...

...and kissing them.

...fixing cars.

...and supervising mom at work.

Ok, so mom's been busy too, what with slowly unpacking, getting ready for baby brother, making curtains and cookies, taking walks and pushing boys in swings, not to mention sustaining 2 lives while chasing us three around and trying to take care of daddy. I just do what I can to help out around here.
